DO YOU HEAR THE PLANES?
A big part of Addison is the Addison Airport. As neighbors
to the airport we know we will hear some noise from planes.
Most residents are ok with the current noise levels.
However, would you be ok hearing additional noise from lower
flying planes?
The FAA is proposing to change the Class B (DFW and Love
Field) airspace over Addison by lowering it 500 feet. With
aircraft in to DFW and Love Field flying lower the airspace
for aircraft in to Addison Airport will need to lower.
This affects Addison Circle as lower flying aircraft will
cause greater noise levels over our neighborhood. This could
potentially affect our quality of life and our property
values.
The
ACNA is asking for the help of the Addison Circle residents
to let the FAA and the Town of Addison know we do care about
this issue. The ACNA is leading a two front campaign:
First, attempt to stop the FAA
from changing the DFW Class B
airspace.
Voice your opinion by calling or writing our local FAA
office.

When calling the FAA mention you are an Addison Circle
resident concerned about the potential noise levels over the
Addison Circle neighborhood due to the proposed FAA changes.
Please mention there needs to be consideration of noise
abatement procedures.
Note from a local pilot: The FAA will tell you that you need
to submit public comment or that the period for such comment
is over – ignore them and just voice your concern!
Secondly, the ACNA will be contacting representatives of the
Addison Airport and the Addison City Council to discuss the
noise issues that will be generated by this change.
If you have any information or concerns you would like to
voice to the ACNA about this matter please email
info@addisoncircle.org.
We will be collecting your comments to take to the Town of
Addison.
